The first Woman Scream Festival International Poetry Festival was held to honor Susana Chavez, the Mexican poetess murdered in 2011, with a growing participation of more than 30 countries and a total of over 100 events celebrated in Europe, U.S. and Latin America and Africa.

The South Africa event had an added twist to it , In true African style there was a flavor of African drum rendition during a poetry recitation, it included inspiring motivational talks by Sicelo Nkosi , a well-known SA motivational speaker and a book reading by Pastor Lulamile Sifuba, who brings a revolutionary perspective between religion and the arts. His shared from his book the Epigraph, on Vision.
