Woman Scream launches female poetry anthology

Woman Scream International Poetry Festival and its brand will be commemorating starting from this November to next March 2015, their 5th anniversary of creation. For de occasion, the Women Poets International Movement (Mujeres Poetas Internacional, MPI, Inc.) based at the Dominican Republic, has launched Grito de Mujer® (Woman Scream) anthology, Spanish anniversary edition. A compilation of the best female poems presented during the famous worldwide chain of events (2011-2014), celebrated each month of March as a tribute to women and against women violence. Over 240 Spanish-speaking poets from over 20 countries are part of this 440 pages book, with an impressive quality of poems that represent the true meaning of a "Grito” (Scream).

This illustrated edition was dedicated to the heroines of the cause: Malala Yousafzai, Susana Chavez, Mirabal Sisters, Nadia Anjuman, and all martyrs violence’ victims, whose voices will never be silenced. Fragments of representative poets of each participating country are included, plus a special selection of poems written by Woman Scream festival contributors, as well as some photos of the events around the world since 2011. The anthology will be presented in some of the participating countries during Woman Scream events on March 2015, but the book is available now through the pages: http://womanscream.blogspot.com, and www.gritodemujer.com
